A Washington man was arrested in Petersburg following a police pursuit that started in Washington.
The ase began when Washington Police tried to serve a warrant on 42-year-old Eric Logston who escaped by striking a police vehicle, The pursuit ended in Petersburg where the chase reached speeds of up to 80 miles an hour. Police say Logston struck a Petersburg Police vehicle and slid into a snowbank, and got stuck.
Officers from the Washington Police Department and Daviess County Sheriff’s Office took Logston into custody after a brief struggle where he was seen swallowing a baggie of something. He was transported to the hospital by EMS.
