Incoming Knox County Chamber of Commerce director Michelle Smith is preparing for her transition March first as new director. Smith currently runs the Knox County Solid Waste Management District, and will stay there through the end of the month.
Smith knows there are still a few loose ends to tie up with the S-W-M-D before- and even during—her move to the Chamber.
Smith also credits her S-W-M-D work with current Chamber director Jamie Neal as a plus in the transition.
Smith also thanks the community for their support and confidence in her, as she gets ready to take the new position.
