The Knox County Commissioners have approved a ten-ton load limit for County maintained roads, effective immediately. The ten-ton load limit will be posted countywide, and be in place for seven days. The Commissioners are worried about a cycle of freezing and thawing softening the roadways, and potentially damaging the roads.
After a week, the Commissioners will consider a possible extension of the ten-ton limit, if needed. The Commissioners approved the ten-ton load limit immediately.
