Progress continues on construction of the new Amazon distribution center in the U-S 41 Industrial Park. The building is being constructed diagonally across from the Farbest plant at the south end of the park area.
K-C-I=E-D director Chris Pfaff has worked to complete the move. Pfaff says the new facility is one of dozens of “last mile” Amazon centers to be installed nationwide. Despite the presence of the Amazon center coming to this area, Pfaff reminds everyone shopping local is still preferred.
The center could bring on up to 170 jobs when complete. Officials believe the new building could be ready for use by the end of the year.
