The White River bordering parts of Knox Coutny will stay in flood stage for the foreseeable future.
The White at Edwardsport will crest tomorrow seven feet over flood stage. It will then start to fall back toward bankfull the rest of the week. At Petersburg, the White will top out today at 24 and a half feet. However, the White there will stay in flood stage at least through mid-March.
The Wabash at Vincennes will not reach flood stage at this time. Downriver at Mount Carmel, the Wabash will stay in minor flood mode, with a crest 3 ½ feet over flood stage.
Finally, the Embarras is hitting its high water mark at three feet over flood stage. It is now forecast to make a rapid drop through the rest of the week.
People in low lying areas should maintain their flood strategies until the water fall back below flood stage. Various county and state highways will be affected—including State Road 358 at Edwardsport.
