The Knox County Sheriff’s Department is working with some new high-tech devices to better monitor traffic on County roads.
The first device is an Axon in-car camera. Knox County Sheriff Doug Vantlin says another stationary overall traffic assessment– or “flock”– camera is not commonplace—yet.
The flock cameras will watch all traffic coming through for suspended drivers, expired license plates, or warrants. They are in place along many major highways in Knox County.
