April is National Safe Digging Month, and CenterPoint Energy is reminding Hoosiers to call 8-1-1 before starting any spring projects. Last year, underground gas lines in Indiana were damaged more than 900 times due to digging. Officials say whether you are planting a tree or installing a fence, calling three days in advance is a free and essential step to prevent dangerous service disruptions.
