Ronnie Dee Ikemire Sr., 59, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away on April 12, 2026, in Vincennes, Indiana.
He was born on August 8, 1966, in Vincennes, Indiana, to the late Mildred Jeffries Ikemire and Charles Ikemire Sr. Ronnie lived his life in the community he called home and was known by those who loved him as a hardworking, dependable man with a strong presence and a kind heart. He carried himself with quiet strength and took pride in staying active and useful, always finding something that needed to be done.
Ronnie worked in trucking, a field that reflected his steady nature and his willingness to put in an honest day’s work. He was respected for his work ethic and for the way he approached life with determination and consistency. Whether he was on the job or at home, he believed in keeping busy and taking care of the things that mattered. He especially liked to stay busy mowing grass and detailing cars, and he found satisfaction in doing those tasks well.
Family was an important part of Ronnie’s life, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his fiancé , Jess DeJarnett of Vincennes; one son, Ronnie Dee Ikemire II of Vincennes; and grandchildren, Landon and Camden Ikemire, Kreen, Nora, and Caroline Evans. He is also survived by his siblings, Rita Smith of Vincennes, Penny Adams of Vincennes, Pamela Leffler of Vincennes, Charles Ray Ikemire Jr. of Vincennes, and Randy Lee Ikemire of Vincennes. Ronnie was preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Elkins.
Those who knew Ronnie will remember him for his straightforward nature, his willingness to help, and the pride he took in the simple things in life. He valued family, routine, and hard work, and he left behind memories that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to share in his life. His presence will be missed in the lives of his loved ones, and his memory will remain a lasting part of the Vincennes community.
