Vincennes Cub League will open its 69th season of play tonight with an opening ceremony at 6 pm at Joe Bilskie Senior Field. The Cub League complex is at Bambino Drive, just off 15th Street in Vincennes.
Starting after the ceremony, teams in various leagues will play over 400 games in that facility this eason. The facility will also host the nine and under and ten and under Ohio Valley Regionals in late July.
At tonight’s ceremony, Cub League officials will also remember three League mainstays who passed away over thie last year. The honors will be for Bruce Deckard, Ron Henderson, and Denny Taylor.
Anyone interested in Cub League is encouraged to attend tonight’s ceremony. After the ceremony ends, teams will start the season on the various diamonds around the Cub League complex.
