Brian Christopher Sanders, age 43, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on May 7, 2026. He was born on August 18, 1982, in Vincennes, Indiana, and lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a quiet strength that touched those who knew him.
Brian was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He married his wife, Michelle Sanders, on May 25, 2013. He was a proud father to Alexus, Emma, and Logan Sanders, and he cherished every moment spent with his family. His grandchildren, Jackson Underhill and Lillie Quinton, brought him great joy, and he was eagerly looking forward to welcoming two more grandchildren into the family. Brian also held a special bond with his brother, Brandon Sanders (Michelle), as well as his nieces, Sadie and Allison Sanders.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Chuck” Sanders and Alice “Godfrey” Sanders, whose memory remained close to his heart throughout his life. Their influence helped shape the man he became, and he carried their lessons with him.
He received his certification in welding and worked as a certified weld inspector, a trade that reflected his strong work ethic and steady hands. Brian took pride in his work and was known for being dependable, skilled, and dedicated. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, where he shared in the fellowship and commitment of his profession.
Outside of work, Brian found happiness in the simple things that meant the most to him. He loved his family and treasured time spent with them. He enjoyed working on his motorcycle and truck, and he was happiest when keeping his hands busy.
Those who knew Brian will remember his kind heart, his genuine laughter, and his steady presence. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, brother, nieces, and many friends.
