The first budget to reflect statewide property tax cuts will become a reality next year. Later this summer, various groups will work out ways to work the reduced revenue into their budgets.
Vincennes City Council president Brian Grove feels with the current numbers, it won’t be quite as bad as they thought. At this time, Grove believes the City can fund its budget without any cuts in City personnel.
In Vincennes, budget deliberations typically start in July, with action on the actual budget pieces happening in October to November.
