Today is back to school for students in three Knox County districts—Vincennes Community, Vincennes Catholic, and South Knox schools. Students in the North Knox area started yesterday.
With back to school activities mean back to school traffic. Vincennes Police Chief Jon Hillenbrand reminds everyone to watch for kids at school bus stops. Also of note is state laws regarding stopping for school bus stop arms. Hillenbrand reminds everyone many buses across Vincennes are now equipmmed with stop arm cameras to ensure compliance.
Authorities remind you when a school bus stop arm is out, all traffic in both directions MUST stop. That also includes on undivided four lane highways in both Vincennes and Knox County.
