The North Knox Lady Warriors were defeated by Wood Memorial in 3 sets. The Lady Trojans took the match 25-23, 25-17, and 25-19. Jersey Sturgeon led with 13 digs, while Dixie Wallace had five kills. Top point scorer was Katie Wolfe with seven.
The South Knox Lady Spartans fall to 11-3, as they lose to Shakamak on the road 3-0. The Lady Lakers won the matchup 25-17, 25-18, and 25-16.
In soccer:
The Vincennes Lincoln boys defeated Rivet at Saint Vincent Field, 3-1. Rivet scored first behind a goal by William Holka, before LHS equalized behind Calvin Doggett. The Alices took the nead on a free kick by David Ramirez, and ended the scoring just before the final whistle, as Gera Silva scored the final LHS tally.
The Lincoln Lady Alices eked out a 2-1 win over Wood Memorial, with a goal by Brinley Catt breaking a 1-1 deadlock. The other Lady Alice goal was from Briley Quinett.
In golf:
South Knox’s Klair Shepherd was medalist in a five=team meet at High Pointe Country Club in Bicknell. Shepherd was low scorer with a 45. North Daviess took the meet, with a 198—nine shots better than South Knox’s 207. Rivet was third, followed by Sullivan and Eastern Greene. Rivet’s low scorer was Kari Black, with a 46.
