Application submissions for the PACE Energy Assistance Program begin a week from today—Thursday, October first. The program is an income based effort to help with one-time credits for a family’s biggest heating source this winter.
Following application submission, there is usually a nearly two-month wait for any benefits to be applied. PACE spokeswoman Courtney Welage says the weather can change a lot between October first and the end of the year. Welage also reminds everyone of application assistance sessions starting in Vincennes in one week.
Other sessions will help other energy assistance applicants in their outlying coverage area of Daviess, Greene, and Sullivan counties.
