Daniel Patrick Lynch, 56, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away on September 21, 2026. He was born on March 28, 1970, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to John and Jane “Pearson” Lynch.
Daniel spent much of his life working as an operating engineer on various construction projects. He was a hardworking man who took pride in what he did and believed in showing up and getting the job done. But as proud as he was of his work, nothing in his life meant more to him than his family.
Daniel was the proud father of Dylan Lynch of Washington, Indiana; Alyssa Lynch of Bicknell, Indiana; Alexis Lynch of Vincennes, Indiana; Brayden Lynch of Vincennes, Indiana; Krystine Pickett of Terre Haute, Indiana; and Kylee Lynch of Terre Haute, Indiana. He was also a deeply loved Papaw to his four grandchildren and a brother to Jack Lynch and his wife, Heather, of Terre Haute, Indiana.
Being a father was one of the greatest parts of Daniel’s life. He loved his children deeply, and that love showed in ways both big and small. He could be your biggest supporter, make you laugh when you didn’t feel like laughing, and embarrass you without even trying—or sometimes very much on purpose. A simple trip through Walmart with Daniel could somehow turn into a story you would be telling for years. He was a jokester through and through, and there was rarely a dull moment when he was around.
He loved golfing, watching the Bears play, spending time with his family, and simply being around the people he loved. He didn’t need anything extravagant to enjoy life. Some of the best moments were the ordinary ones, the laughter, the teasing, the music, watching a game, and just being together.
Those who knew Daniel will remember him as a hardworking, family-oriented man with a kind spirit and a genuine love for the people and things that mattered most to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave and the life he lived will remain a lasting source of comfort and remembrance.
