Knox Superior Court One Judge Gara Lee sentenced a Washington man to 20-years in prison for Voluntary Manslaughter.
20-year-old Calvin Wittmer had initially been charged with Attempted Murder in the shooting death of James Mischler of Vincennes on July 24th, 2024
As part of an agreement, approved by the family of the victim, Wittmer waived all rights to appeal or request sentence modification.
Meanwhile, Judge Lee also sentenced Wittmer to an additional 20 years for Criminal Recklessness and a firearm sentencing enhancement for his actions two days earlier.
