Actor Chad Lowe and his family are mourning the death of his 13-year-old daughter, Fiona, remembering the “smart, creative” teen who loved to dance as the “light of our lives.”
“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” the family said in a statement provided to Page Six on Tuesday.
“She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance,” the statement continued. “She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives.”

“Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
The family concluded its statement by encouraging anyone struggling with mental health to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
Lowe, 58, shares Fiona with his wife, producer Kim Painter. The couple also have two daughters, Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10. Lowe is the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, 62.
Fiona celebrated her 13th birthday in November 2025, when her father marked the milestone with an Instagram tribute.

“Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!!” Lowe wrote alongside a photo of his daughter smiling and wearing cowboy boots. “Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!!”
Earlier that year, Lowe shared photos of Fiona and her sisters returning to the remains of their childhood home after it was destroyed in the Pacific Palisades Fire.
“The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable,” he wrote in February 2025. “I am in awe of their spirit and resilience.”

Lowe added that helping his daughters through the aftermath was his “sole purpose,” writing, “Being their dad is my life’s greatest joy and privilege.”
Lowe has also spoken publicly about how raising three daughters shaped his perspective.
During a 2024 appearance on the “Still Here Hollywood” podcast, he described fatherhood as a privilege and said having daughters had caused him to look at the world “from their perspective.”
Fiona is survived by her parents and her sisters, Mabel and Nixie.
