Indiana Governor Mike Braun has extended the state’s suspension of the gas and gas excise taxes for another month. At this time, the extension runs out on Wednesday, November fourth.
Governor Braun says the state’s conservative operations model is the only way this can be done. The suspension also extends to farm diesel usage—especially during harvest season. Braun believes with skyrocketing diesel prices in recent months, now is the time to extend the gas tax suspension.
The gas tax suspension has kept Indiana gas prices as some of the lowest in the nation. Governor Braun first suspended the gas tax in April, just after the U-S got involved in its current war with Iran.
