The Jasper Strassenfest has donated nearly $38,000 from this year’s Half Pot drawing to the Vincennes University Jasper Foundation.
The money will provide full-tuition scholarships for seven to nine local students attending VU Jasper, including a book stipend and laptop.
Since 2019, the scholarship program has awarded more than $500,000 to over 150 area students.
This year’s Strassenfest Half Pot topped $150,000 for the second straight year.
An anonymous Jasper resident claimed the winning prize of more than $75,000.
