The Vincennes City Council has approved on first reading only a bond issue for the Firehouse Flats project. The issue is part of a plan to construct the downtown apartment complex project on the municipal parking lot along Vigo Street between Third and Fourth Streets. The first reading was passed 6-1, with Councilman Ryan Lough continuing his opposition.
The issue will come back before Vincennes City Council for possible final approval at Council’s first session in November.
