The City of Vincennes reports a start of base asphalt placement on Washington Avenue at this time– especially just north of Emison Avenue. City crews have a goal of getting drivable base asphalt on that part of the street before football season starts at nearby Inman Field.
Vincennes Community Schools’ superintendent Greg Parsley calls that drivable asphalt a must-have. Parsley knows it may not be ideal for the public to get there, but they will have a plan in place, once access is available.
The overall project covers Washington Avenue from Kelso Creek southward to Emison Avenue.
