An evening round of strong to severe storms added to problems caused by a first round of afternoon storms yesterday in the area. As of this morning, in Knox County, WIN Energy is reporting just over 100 people without power around the State Road 67 corridor just n orth of U-S 41, heading northward toward Bruceville. In the first round, areas in and around Vincennes reported some scattered damage– including some trees and power outages in Vincennes. Power was also out for a time yesterday afternoon in Oaktown.
The second round affected areas to the south, including Gibson County. Strong winds left many without power across the county, and affected traffic on some roads. Gibson County Sheriff;s deputies reported last night of trees down on parts of Old U-S 41; also, we have received reports of some damage to some cars at the Toyota plant south of Princeton.
Also, as of this morning, Duke Energy is reporting scattered outages- especially in Gibosn County.
