A longtime German-based tradition returns to the Highland Woods area tonight, with the 52nd annual Vincennes Germanfest. The two day eveng starts tonight, and runs through tomorrow night.
One change over the years places the Germanfest activities in two separate areas– one inside, and one outside. Germanfest organizer Anne Pratt says at least this year, the outdoor part will have perfect weather.As in prior years, Pratt says the proceeds get plowed right back into education.
Since alcohol is being served in the outdoor area, that part of Germanfest is for those 21 or over only. However, the indoor activities at the HIghland Woods Community Center is open to all ages.
