The Vincennes Board of Works has approved a celebration of the 24 teams coming to Vincennes for the 10 year-old Cal Ripken World Series. The international sets of teams will arrive in Vincennes on August sixth and seventh of next year. A skills competition will happen during the day on Saturday, August 8th, 2025, with a large celebration that night. Vincennes Cub League president Kirk Bouchie told the Vincennes Board of Works he expects between two-thousand and three-thousand people downtown for the Cub League Festival that evening.
The festival will be held at Patrick Henry Square in downtown Vincennes. The Board of Works has ordered street closures in that area to be similar to the annual Vincennes Watermelon Festival. The celebration was approved unanimously.
