Vincennes City Council has now heard budget requests from various City departments for the coming year. Among those submitting budgets is Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum; he is glad to say the base of his request was another raise for City workers. As in recent years, the Mayor is happy once again to present a balanced, totally funded budget for 2025.
City Council will now take its next few sessions to present the overall budget and salary ordinance for approval. Once it is approved, it must be submitted to the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance for review and final approval. That state approval must be in place in time for the start of next year.
