The Vincennes City Council approved the overall budget on first reading last night, but with questions about funding of the Pantheon Business Theatre.
During last night’s session, Council president Brian Grove questioned an increase of funding for the Pantheon, to 150-thousand dollars. Grove is concerned about a lack of needed cuts, due to what he is calling lower contributions.
In his comments, K-C-I-E-D director Chris Pfaff also pointed to the value of the Pantheon to the continued development of Vincennes. Council members plan to discuss the issue further at their first session in October, as part of final approval of the budget for 2025.
