Cassi D. Newman passed away at home surrounded by her family at 3:00 am on June 29, 2019. The daughter of Chester and Nancy (Reeves) Eisenhut she was born on February 6, 1969 and married Travis L. Newman on August 11, 1994 and he survives.
After graduating from Lincoln High School Cassi began her career in the medical field at Crestview Nursing Home. She continued her career with Dr. Richard Stein and Marlena Stein N.P. Cassi was a member of Four-Square Church, Eagles and the Moose. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and giving to others.
Cassi is also survived by a son, Gabe; mother Nancy Eisenhut; brother Jeff Eisenhut and his wife Kim; sisters, Roxanne Kitzman, Gaye Updike and her husband Sam, Toni Drake and her husband Bill; mother-in-law Denise Newman; several nieces and nephews along with many dear friends. Cassi was preceded in death by her son Cole, father Chet Eisenhut, maternal grandmother Josephine Rickard, maternal grandfather Manuel Reeves, paternal grandmother Helen Eisenhut, paternal grandfather Ira Ray Eisenhut, step-grandfather Gerald Rickard and father-in-law Thom Newman.
Friends may visit with Cassi’s family on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 4-8 pm at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Cassi’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor William Morris officiating. Cassi will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
