Come to the Table Community Lunch

Come to the Table, a free community lunch, is held the third Saturday of every month from noon to 1:00 PM at the parking lot entrance to First United Methodist Church at 411 North 4th Street in Vincennes. All are welcome.

2019 Daviess Co. Christmas Parade

September 9 - November 27

Preparations are already underway for the 2019 Daviess County Christmas Parade. This year’s parade will once again be a lighted parade and will take place Saturday, December 7th beginning at 6:00 PM. This year’s parade theme is “A Christmas to Remember”.For more information about the parade or to sign up, contact Debbie at the Washington Mayor’s office.

Buffalo Trace Festival

The Discover Downtown organization in Petersburg is hosting the 3rd Buffalo Trace Festival this September 27th. and 28th on Main Street in Petersburg. Amusement rides will be offered free to everyone, as well as the entertainment on the main stage located in the middle of the Festival.

Pace Community Action Agency is accepting applications for the Energy Assistance Program allowing qualified households in Daviess, Greene, Knox and Sullivan Counties to receive a one-time benefit toward their home’s primary heat source. Washington Trick-or-Treating Information

Trick or Treating in the City of Washington has been set for Thursday evening, October 31st from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. Washington’s Police and Fire Departments will host Halloween Safe Stops that night from 5:00 until 8:30 PM at the police station at city hall and at fire station #2 on West Walnut Street. Steen Township Volunteer Fire Department Fall Soup Supper and Silent Auction

The Steen Township Volunteer Fire Department will host a Fall Soup Supper and Silent Auction, featuring Linda’s Homemade noodles, Saturday, October 26th from 4:00 until 7:30 PM at 210 South Niblack Street in Wheatland. There will be homemade soup, hot dogs, and drink. And don’t forget dessert. Free will donations accepted. Gallon bags of uncooked frozen noodles will be available for $10.00.
