Local celebrities from across the area are preparing for the 8th annual Celebrity Chef event. The annual fund-raiser will be held from five to eight p-m Central time April seventh at the Barn at New Leaf Fitness and Spa. The facility is located at 13th and Walnut Streets in Lawrenceville.
Tickets are on sale now for 25 dollars per person. Seating is limited, so advance ticket purchase is preferred. The tickets are avillable through the Lawrenceville Chamber of Commerce. All proceeds will go for the Lawrence County Illinois Fish and Loaves program to feed those in need. The assistance will be provided as part of their Weekend Backpack Program.
The chefs will provide dishes in several categories– appetizer, soup, salad, entree, side dish, or dessert. The Chamber will provide aprons and sampling cups to those attending.
The dishes will be judged, and prizes will go for best judged dish, and People’s Choice.
