The Vincennes Historic Review Board is scheduled to hear a request later today for demolition of the house at 615 North First Street. The demolition is a continuing piece of their French Village renovation project. University officials earlier received permission to tear down many structures in the area just south of their main campus. The properties would then be re-built into housing targeted at University students.
In other business, the H-R-B is considering renovations by the Halter Group. The work would be on the building at 325 Main Street. Finally, Barry O’Brien is seeking exterior lighting and a barber pole at his business at 13 North Fifth Street.
The H-R-B session starts at five-30. The meeting is open to the public.
