Under a new law going to action today, Illinois is going to be getting several more gender neutral restrooms. A new state law that takes effect today requires all public, single use restrooms to be labeled gender neutral. That means restrooms in public buildings and schools will need new signs. Single-gender restrooms that can be used by several people at once will not be impacted by the change.
