Minimum Wage Going Up in Many States in 2020, but Not in Indiana

The minimum wage is going up in nearly half of the nation in 2020 — but not in Indiana.

Twenty-four states are raising their minimum wage next year, including Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio.

Out of our neighboring states, Michigan will pay the most, at $9.65 per hour; their previous rate was $9.45 per hour.

The minimum wage for Indiana workers remains $7.25.

That’s the same as the federal rate, which was set back in 2007.
