The South Knox School Board is set to meet tonight at their administration center.
At the meeting, they will be hosting a public hearing on the 2021 school budget. In other businesses, the board will be replacing a South Knox Elementary instructional assistant as well as talk about compensation for teachers that teach through their preparatory period, and the approval of coaches for boys basketball and girls track.
Also at the meeting, the board will hear from technology director, Ryan Thacker. Thacker will be there to request the board consider a number of computer items obsolete to allow for proper disposal of electronic equipment. The board will also hear administrators to consider old classroom items obsolete and for the proper disposal of those items.
Under other business, the board will consider approving a senior trip to New York for Seniors for March of 2021, consider adopting budget resolutions, have first reading of the school corporation’s policy on proof of Indiana residency, work on an amendment to the hiring policy, and will look into a memorandum of understanding with Ivy Tech Community College.
The board will meet at 7 PM this evening.
