A Wisconsin man drowned Sunday night while attempting to rescue two women struggling in the water at Patoka Lake in Crawford County.

The body of 33-year-old Travis Ray St. Martin of Racine, Wisconsin, was recovered by conservation officer public safety divers.

The two women, who had fallen off a towable tube tied to a boat, were rescued by others.

One of the women, 25-year-old K’neisha Adams of Burke, Virginia, was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital and later released.

No alcohol or drugs were suspected to be contributing factors.

The DNR says adequate life jackets were present on the rental boat, however none were in use.
