The Indiana Department of Health announced Thursday that 6,543 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
That brings to 511,485 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus.
A total of 7,911 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 99 from Wednesday.
Knox County had 52 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths. The county’s total case count since April increases to 2,911 and its death toll remains at 38. Knox County’s 7-day positivity rate is 11.9%.
Daviess County had 24 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths. The county’s total case count since April increases to 2,278 and its death toll remains at 67.The 7-day positivity rate is 15.9%.
