Gibson County Officials Recently Have Made Several Arrests

The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says a Princeton woman is facing drug charges after deputies went to the 700 block of South Hart Street to serve a court order to detain a juvenile.

Deputies spotted drug paraphernalia in plain view after being invited into the residence.

34-year-old Arieal Whitfield is facing preliminary charges of Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Resisting Law Enforcement.

An Evansville man has been arrested on a DUI charge.

The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says on December 27th around 1:47 a.m., they received a call about an impaired driver on South Main Street in Princeton.

The car was found in the one-thousand block of South Main Street.

Deputies found 58-year-old James Mattingly of Evansville slumped over the steering wheel.

After a blood test, Mattingly tested .34, over four times the state’s legal limit.

Two people were arrested Saturday morning after a Gibson County Sheriff’s deputy investigated a report of a suspicious pick-up truck on County Road 775 South.

The caller said the pick-up truck was sitting in the roadway and that when they approached the vehicle a man jumped out of the truck wearing minimal clothing.

The driver of the truck, 60-year-old Johnna Latouche of Chandler, was arrested for Possession of a Schedule II Drug, Possession of a Legend Drug, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Handgun without a License, Public Indecency, and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

A passenger, 22-year-old Keegan Wineinger of Evansville, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana.
