Indiana State Police arrested a Washington man for Possessing a Stolen Firearm following a traffic stop Sunday night in Oakland City.
23-year-old Danton Willis was pulled over for an expired registration.
During the stop, a .45 caliber pistol was found under the front seat.
The gun was reported stolen out of New York.
Willis was arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of a Stolen Weapon, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Carrying a Handgun Without a License.
Willis was released from the Gibson County Jail Monday morning after posting bond.
