South Knox and White River Valley have moved onto the South Knox boys’ sectional final with victories last night.
In game 1, WRV defeated Mitchell 1-0 to get to the sectional final. Dalton Fulford got the lone goal of the game in the 30th minute for the Wolverines. Mitchell’s Nate Robertson led the Bluejackets with 23 saves, with 9 saves from WRV’s Elliott Fulford.
Game 2 went to the Spartans, 6-1. Ibai (IH-buy) Agirre (uh-GEAR-ray) and Jackson Thomas had two goals apiece, with Abe Singleton and Owen Lavely scoring the other two goals. Logan Fisher made five saves in the South Knox goal. South Knox and WRV will rematch their sectional final of last year at 2 pm Saturday at South Knox.
The Lincoln Alices lost 5-0 to Gibson Southern last night at the Washington 2-A Sectional. Teighan Johnson has 12 saves in goal for LHS in the defeat. The game was the final one for three Alice seniors– Rylee Greeno, Jason Ramirez, and Nathan Boger.

The Rivet 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams defeated North Knox last night.
In the 7th grade match, Rivet won in two sets, 25-14 and 25-8. Jara Case had 14 service points in the match, with Rachel Jacqumain adding 9. The 8th grade matchup also went to Rivet, 25-23 and 25-23. Ava Benson and Claudia Herman each had 9 service points for the Lady Patriots, while Emily O’Dell scored 10 kills. For North Knox, Keely McMillin had six points, while Delani Pryor added five.
