The IHSAA announced its new classifications for member schools in basketball, football, soccer and Volleyball for the next two years.
There were no changes involving Knox County Schools. However, a few area schools will see major changes.
North Daviess moves from Class A to Class 2A in all sports except football, where the Cougars will remain in Class A. Sullivan drops from 3A to 2A in all sports, including football. Tecumseh drops to Class A in volleyball.
Southridge moves from 2A to 3A in all sports except football, where they were already in that class. Evansville Mater Dei also moves to 3A.
Sectional assignments will be released in early May.
