Knox County officials are readying their proposed project list for state READI funds. Knox County is part of two groups that received state funding for various progress-related projects. This funding would come from the “Indiana First” group.
Knox County Indiana Economic Development Corporation director Chris Pfaff told the county Commissioners new housing will be a main focus. A recent survey, sponsored by the KCIEDC, shows the need for housing across the county. County officials had a grant administration-related session yesterday.
Pfaff also told the Commissioners the READI funding will focus on building single-family residences. However, he admits it may take a while before all the targeted homes are constructed.
