Planned Parenthood will be launching a mobile abortion clinic in southern Illinois by the end of the year. The agency says the 37-foot mobile abortion unit will help reduce travel distances, wait times and other barriers impacting patients in neighboring states where abortion is banned. The mobile unit will initially offer only medication abortions but will eventually expand to include procedural ones.
