All Knox County Schools Get Grant Money

All four Knox County school corporations have received funding through the state’s Secured Schools Grant program.  Both North Knox and Vincennes Community Schools got $50,000 each, while South Knox received $36,000.  Vincennes Catholic Schools got $47,500 dollars, for use at Flaget Elementary School.

The funding can be used for resource officers in schools, along with equipment and technology, and active event warning systems.  The money can also go for firearms training and parent support services.

The security assistance is part of nearly $23 million in state matching grant funding.
