Class A number five Vincennes Rivet beat Sullivan 3-0 in the “Playing For A Purpose Game.” For the 15-2 Lady Patriots…Anna Herman had 12 points, 16 kills and 15 digs. Mary Herman added ten points and 10 assists as Rivet has now won ten straight matches. Sullivan won the junior varsity match 2-1. Piper Lewis had 12 points and 12 assists.
South Knox lost to Barr-Reeve 3-0. Addy Delisle had ten points, 13 assists and ten digs. Jaylen Grumieaux added 15 digs for the Spartans. Barr-Reeve won the JV contest 2-0.
North Knox fell to Loogootee 3-0. Alex McKinley had nine kills for the Warriors while Brynna Collins 11 assists and five aces. The Lions won the JV contest 2-0.
South Knox knocked off Wood Memorial 4-1 on senior night. Winning in singles play for the Spartans were Noah Hayden and Evan Drieman. Also posting wins were the doubles team of Hunter Sievers and Tanner Holland and the duo of Issac True and Max Smith.
It was also senior night at Lincoln High school as the Alices blanked Washington 5-0 to extend their winning streak to six. Winners in singles play were Gus McCrary, Josh Clegg and Brett Turpin as well
as the number one doubles team of Jayden Ray and Cayden McCrary .
The Lincoln Boys soccer team lost at Evansville Central 5-0. Morgan Horst had 16 saves in goal for the Alices.
The Rivet Boys soccer team took care of Washington Catholic 4-1. Beckitt McGuire scored twice for the Patriots while Gage Letts and Fisher Lemon also added goals. Brody Shots had 11 saves in goal.
The Lincoln girl’s soccer team lost to Jasper 9-1. Maya Miller had the goal for the Lady Alices.
The Lincoln girls golf team lost to North Knox 209-221. Lincolns Macy Sexton and North Knox’s’ Brooklyn Sturgeon were low medalist with a 43. Other Lincoln scores were Macy Jenkins with a 53,
True Mahrenholz a 62 and Miley Carie-Frederick a 63.
The Vincennes University Volleyball team has won ten straight after a 3-0 win over Lincoln Trail College. The 19th rated Blazers are now 14-1 on the season.
Middle School Sports….
Clark 7th grade blasted Castle 38-nothing. Landon Hartley accounted for 156 total yards of offense with two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Reid Kelso also scored a
pair of TD’s for Clark, who is now 3-1 on the season.
Volleyball action had Clark 7th and 8th grade scoring wins over Mt Vernon. The 7th grade won 2-1. Lauryn Keil had five kills. The 8th grade was a 2-0 winner as Emma Cunningham had six aces and three assists.
The South Knox 8th grade lost to Loogootee 2-1. Janet West had nine kills for the Spartans. The 7th grade was 2-1 winner with Brooklyn Flaningam scoring 12 points with eight aces.
Middle school golf had Rivet beating North Knox 129-131. Phillip Herman of Rivet was medalist with a 28. Luke Schroeder of North Knox shot a 32.
