Danny “Boon” Snyder, 76, Vincennes

Danny “Boon” J. Snyder, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024, in Vincennes, IN, at the age of 76. Born on February 19, 1948, in Princeton, IN, Boon was a man of warmth and kindness whose presence enriched the lives of those around him.
Boon is survived by his loving mother, Cecil Pauline “Banks” Snyder, his devoted daughter, Renee Mize (Michael) of Evansville, IN, and his adoring grandchildren, Brandon Mize (Nicole) and Destiny Bayer (Jason); a stepson, Jerad Farrar (Tessa); His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Payton, Bentley, Collin, and Paisley Bayer, and Saige and Emmett Mize; step grandchildren,Lola, Kiaya and Knox. He will also be deeply missed by his brother, Gary Snyder (Shelia) of Vincennes, IN, several nieces and nephews, and his best friends, Benny VanMatre (Sandy) of Vincennes, IN. Boon was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joann Snyder, his father, William Snyder, and his sister, Dianne Catt.
Boon’s life was marked by his passion for the automotive world. An excellent mechanic, he spent many years working on cars and sharing his expertise. His marriage to Joann on May 10th, 2003, in Vincennes, IN, was a testament to his loving and kind nature. Boon’s interests were a reflection of his friendly and engaging personality. He enjoyed watching sprint cars at the Tri-State Speedway with his best friend Benny, attending auto auctions for Trent Auto, fishing, driving around town, and following NASCAR racing.
Boon’s life was a journey of love, friendship, and kindness. His memory will be treasured and kept alive by the laughter and stories shared by those who knew him. As we say goodbye, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. Danny “Boon” J. Snyder will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
There will be a visitation on Friday, April 5th, 2024 from 11:00am until 12:45 at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Vincennes Chapel with a service immediately following at 12:45 PM also at the funeral home to be officiated by Robin Overbey.
