Rain Big Winner Last Night in Sports

Rain effected several area sporting events.  The Vincennes Lincoln baseball game against Evansville Bosse was suspended in the bottom of the second inning with the Alices winning 10-0.  The Lincoln softball game also against Bosse was halted in the bottom of the second with the Alices leading 6-nothing.  No dates have been set for completion of either conference game.
The South Knox Tennis team downed Washington 3-1.  Winning for the Spartans in singles play was Grace Arnold and the doubles team of Caroline Beard and Grace Carie and the duo of Reagan Harrington and Anna Provines.  Number two singles player Ali Hayden was unable to complete her match because of the weather.
South Knox led 5-0 versus Eastern Greene last night.  Then the walls caved in, as the T-Birds scored 21 runs in the final four innings to win 21-10.  15 South Knox walks aided in the 21-run spree for Eastern Greene.  Kaden McKinney led the Spartans with three hits.
Vincennes Linocln’s girls’ tennis team lost 5-0 to Jasper yesterday.
For the second straight day, the Vincennes University Baseball team dropped a pair to Heartland college…7-0 and 12-4.  The loss drops the Trailblazers to 11-26.
On the local sports scene for today…
The Lincoln Baseball team plays at North Posey at six.
Lincoln golf team visits wood memorial at 5:30.
South Knox Golf team hosts Bloomfield at 4:30.
Lincoln girls tennis team entertains Sullivan at five.
Rivet Tennis team travels to Barr-Reeve at 4:30.
