The work on Washington Avenue continues a slow, steady pace, as crews continue working on the entire corridor from Kelso Creek to Emison Avenue.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum reminds everyone the road in that area is basically impassable. Also, Mayor Yochum reminds everyone it is fhe first of two parts of the Washington Avenue work– even though the next phase is still 2 years away.
Traffic who normally uses that stretch of road is detouring it by using Sixth Street. Affected residents in the Heights area, due east of the construction, are using their own routes to detour the work
