Knox County Sports Roundup for Tuesday

The Lincoln Baseball team is now 5-0 on the season after winning at Washington 4-1.  Jace Kinnett picked up the win, going four innings while Cam Primus picked up the save.  Drew Hambrick led the Alices with two hits while Jayden Ray had a big RBI double in the 7th inning.
South Knox also picked up a baseball win, with a 9-0 triumph over Loogootee.  Jacob Allen had a one-hit shutout for the Spartans.  The offensive highlight was a two-run homer by Kaden McKinney.  Overall, he drove in three runs to lead the way to the South Knox victory.
The Vincennes Lincoln softball team picked up its third straight win, downing North Central 4-1.  Bradie Turpin picked up the win, going the distance.  Turpin retired the first 13 hitters she faced and also added two hits at the plate.  Grace Archer and Miley Carie Frederick also hit two hits for the Lady Alices, who move to 3-4 on the season.  Lincoln won the JV Contest 19-0.  Mia Hagood had a home run for the Alices.
The South Knox softball team were also victorious, as they defeated Linton 3-1.  South Knox’s Ally Sims allowed two hits and struck out seven in the win.  She gave up one run, and that one was unearned.  Maycie Linnewebber led thw eay with two of the six LadySpartan hits in the game.
The South Knox Tennis team blanked Evansville Christian 5-0.  Winning in singles play were Abby Cunningham, Alli Hayden and Grace Arnold.  Also posting wins in doubles action were Caroline Beard and Grace Carie at number one and the number two team of Reagan Harrington and Anna Provines.
The Rivet golf team captured a quad match at Highpointe Country Club.  Rivet had a 172,  Eastern Greene a 178, North Daviess a 180 and Evansville Christian a 196.  Zach Bottoms led the Patriots with a 40.  Parker Steinger, Drake Bellessa, and Nash Chattin a 44 each and Fisher Lemon a 46.
