KC Sports for Wednesday

The Vincennes Lincoln Baseball team suffered its first loss of the season, losing at Evansville Mater Dei 2-0.  Cayden McCrary led the Alices with a pair of hits.
Raden Benson added a triple, while Cooper Collins, Drew Hambrick and Tanner Gilbert added hits for Lincoln, which stands at 5-1 on the season.
The Lincoln Softball team picked up its fourth straight win, rolling over Evansville Harrison 14-0.  Amya Woodall and Miley Carie Frederick each blasted home runs for Lincoln and finished with three hits apiece.  Grace Archer had two hits and picked up the win on the mound as the Alices move to 4-4 on the season.
Forest Park scored eight runs in the first four innings, and held on to defeat South Knox last night, 8-7.  The Lady Spartans would also commit six errors and gave up seven walks n the defeat. The Lady Spartans would score two in the seventh to get the deficit to one, but could not get any closer.  Rayce Cates would suffer the loss for South Knox, in relief of Brianna Benjamin; it was Benjamin’s first-ever varsity pitching start.
The Clark Middle School softball team was shutout by Barr Reeve 3-0.  Olivia Lewis had two hits for Clark while Olivia Lange and Halle Greentree added singles.
The Rivet Middle School tennis team lost to South Knox 4-1.  Winning for the Patriots were the number two doubles team of Anna Halter and Addison Beaman.
