Nancy Ellen Tripp, 79, passed away on April 14, 2024. She was born in Vincennes, IN on October 6, 1944, to Noah and Julia (Greentree) Hopper. Nancy attended Lincoln High School. She worked many years in management for several retail stores such as 15 years with Payless Shoes. Nancy married Paul Collins on January 3rd.
In her free time, Nancy enjoys singing, cooking, baking wedding cakes, visiting people in the hospital, being with family, and going to church. She was a member of the Bunker Hill General Baptist Church. Nancy was known for her caring nature and was always willing to help anyone in need. She will be deeply missed by all.
Nancy is preceded in death by her father Noah Hopper; mother Julia Jackson; son-in-law Terry Barekman; sister Shirley Merriell; great-granddaughter Madison Jacquet.
She is survived by her husband Paul Collins; children Cathy Barekman and Brad (Bev) Tripp; step-children Christopher (LeAnn) Collins, Carie Collins, Andrea Turner; grandchildren Michael (Brianne Feezor) Tripp, Julia Barekman, Erin Barekman, Bradley Tomayko, Jax Tripp, Janell Tripp, Leah Tripp; great-grandchildren April Tripp, Darrian Tripp, Ensley Tripp, Peyton Anthis, Jayce Hoadley, Paislee Hoadley, Tayte Tripp, Kohlson Price, Nikolai Tripp; brothers Jack (Faith) Hopper and Jim (Kim) Hopper; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Tripp. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 524 Broadway St. from 4-8 pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 11 am with burial at Memorial Park immediately following.
