Today is Day One of full operation for the red Vincennes Trolley. The service started at seven this morning; it will run each weekday from seven a-m to seven p-m.
The actual first rides on the fixed transportation system started yesterday at ten a-m. That followed a ribbon cutting at Vincennes City Hall. One of the riders on that first loop was Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum reminds everyone information on the trolley’s route is as close as each stop. Mayor Yochum reminds everyone Bus space is limited to 30 seats—and also some standing room only places.
The service is an hour=long loop across 53 stops across Vincennes. The system is free for all users.
Plans for the line’s future include potential weekend hours, and a possible second route.
